Friyay

Friyay

I always liked Fridays, always felt that they deserved a little more admittedly I didn’t work Saturday mornings so mine were a lot different to others,

My love of Fridays I think started at Fridays at Cord with the straight after “work” crowd would be there about 5pm, early doors always appealed to me as well, sometimes I could be done by 10pm other times it could be a lot later

Then came Frietags at Common and later still Soup with a bit of Clique thrown in there too (going to talk about Clique in the next post about one of my favourite images if you’re interested) then there was Mint lounge as well, a favourite of mine for many years (think I may be too old to get in now..)

What was your favourite Friday?

Sometimes I’d go out early doors and then go to work which was always an experience, work came first though so those nights were never too messy, just enjoyed being out a little guilt free but still savouring the times.

They’re all gone now of course, I’ve got older, places have gone or changed, times change and dare I say it but the people coming through now don’t seem to be having as much fun as we did..

Or is that rose tinted spectacles?

This week’s image is from one of those Fridays (I think, it could have been a Saturday morning that started as a Friyay so you never know..)

This is one from Pop Curious in 2014 which is either last week or nearly a decade ago depending on how I’m feeling, this is another gem that I think bypassed me at the time but I love the energy in the picture, this was taken at Ruby Lounge another favourite (even when it was called Hidden on High Street, now that’s going back…) I can almost smell the dancefloor in this image, that stage those performers and the smoke machines ! love it, miss it too now..

Actually, thinking about what I said previously I never counted Pop Curious as a Friday nightery as I always felt them to be a big Saturday night is that right or have I done them wrong? Pop Curious is one of my all-time favourite nights though and look for a post of them in the coming weeks..

Ta for looking at this and any comments chuck ‘em my way.

Ciao Bella
